Healthy Orange Mango Lassi Recipe

Orange Mango Lassi is good anytime of year, but, since it’s naturally an orange color, is especially good when looking for something healthy to add to the yearly Halloween BOO-ffet. With all the sweets and junk that is consumed around Halloween, this drink is a welcome change. This quick and easy four-ingredient drink can be mixed in the blender or food processor in just a few minutes.

Lassi is a refreshing, healthy, yogurt based drink that often accompanies the fiery Indian curries to offset the heat. Originating in India, it is still very popular, not only as an accompaniment to hot food, but also as a refreshment between meals. Sweet Lassi can contain any type of fruit, and sometimes also contains rosewater, giving it an exotic taste. Traditional Lassi is also popular and is made with salt, pepper, and spices, especially toasted cumin.

This delicious drink will become a favorite; you’ll want to make it all year round.

Orange Mango Lassi


4 Servings

1 cup cubed fresh or frozen mango
2 cups plain yogurt
3 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
A few drops orange food coloring, (optional)

  1. Place the mango in a blender or food processor and pulse until it is finely chopped.

  2. Add the yogurt, honey, orange juice, and food coloring if using.

  3. Process the mixture until it is smooth.

  4. Chill well before serving.
