3-Ingredient Showstopper Appetizer Recipe

3-Ingredient Showstopper Appetizer Recipe
Spinach Artichoke Tarts are a perfect appetizer for entertaining during the busy holiday season. They have only 3 ingredients and can be put together in less than 15 minutes. They are delicious and impressive; everyone will think they took hours to prepare. These fancy little tarts were devised by Jenny Christy, who is an accomplished cook, but also a busy Michigan Mom with minimal time to spend in the kitchen. It's a good idea to purchase the ingredients early, so they are in the freezer, then the tarts can be assembled at the last minute and baked while the guests are arriving.

Luckily for busy cooks, there is a convenience food for almost everything that used to be prepared at home from scratch. This recipe uses frozen mini fillo shells which can be found in the grocer’s freezer near the puff pastry and frozen pie crusts. There are several kinds of spinach artichoke dip suitable for these tarts; Jenny uses the frozen variety (Friday’s Brand), but the refrigerated kind, available at warehouse stores, works well too.

Be sure to make lots of these luscious bite-sized appetizers; they’ll go fast.
