Completing Goals This Year
Concentrate on one thing at a time. It is easy to become overwhelmed when we try to take on too many responsibilities at once. Break each task down to its simplest form. Take one step at a time. Each step is a part of a process. Give all of your attention to one resolution at a time. The outcome will be quality results.
Some resolutions may include the desire for more money or worldly possessions. Keep it simple. Be thankful for what you have. This will allow you to concentrate on needs instead of wants. There is nothing wrong with wanting things. Happiness comes when you are content with or without it.
Be a leader and not a follower. We can only give so much to others before we become overwhelmed and loose ourselves. It feels good to give to others. When you are a giver, it is hard to say no. A strong leader is made by saying no. It is easy to say yes to everything and everybody. Each time you say to someone, you give a little of yourself. This can hinder your ability to complete your tasks.
Procrastination can hinder progress. You cannot finish something that you never start. Once the task is started, be consistent in working toward the goal until it is complete. Self discipline and persistence can overcome the fears of procrastination.
A resolution is no more than a goal that you set out to accomplish. A plan is needed to accomplish your resolution, just as a plan is needed to complete any other goal. A house cannot be properly built without a plan in place. Things sometime happen that are outside of your control. Do not be too hard on yourself. Planning for situations that can happen in the future will make it easier to cope.
Motivation can make the difference between success and failure. You have to really want to make a change. The chances of accomplishing a resolution are high if it is important to you. Take time to plan your steps, and then complete them one by one.
