The glossary of Scottish words continues with Q through R. Not many Q words there are there? Q is a very unique letter that is believed to have been taken from Egyptian hieroglyphics. There are only a few instances when it is not followed by the letter U. Also, it’s a high scoring letter in Scrabble. R is a great Scottish letter; I never could roll my r’s like most Scots people can. I blame it on originally having a bit of a problem with the letter S from having a space in my front baby teeth.
