Charles Arlin Henderson - Missing Child

Charles Arlin Henderson - Missing Child
Today is the 18th anniversary of Charles Arlin Henderson’s disappearance. Charles Arlin Henderson was 11 years old the day he disappeared while riding his bike near his Moscow Mills Missouri home. In an attempt to generate new leads the FBI allowed the news media to see the brightly colored Huffy bike that Arlin was riding the day he vanished.

What is so significant in a brightly colored yellow green huffy bike? The fact is Arlin's bike mysteriously reappeared approximately 2 months after his disappearance. Neither the police, nor the FBI will state what if any evidence was found with or on the bike, and at this time authorities do not believe Michael John Devlin the convicted child sex offender and kidnapper of Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby had anything to do with the disappearance of Arlin Henderson.

Shawn Hornbeck also disappeared while riding his bike near his Richwoods Missouri home on October 6th 2002. Shawn was later found in a Kirkwood Missouri apartment complex rented by Michael Devlin. At the time he disappeared Shawn Hornbeck was 11 years old. He was found alive on January 12, 2007, and had been missing 1558 days according to the Shawn Hornbeck website.

William Ben Ownby was 13 when he disappeared from Beaufort Missouri after he stepped off his school bus and began walking toward his home. He disappeared before he made it to his front door, and remained missing for 4 days when he was found with Shawn Hornbeck in Michael Devlin’s apartment by police who were following up a lead.

The lead came from a friend of Ben Ownby, Michael Hults who had witnessed an on older model pickup truck that seemed out of place at the time. Without the keen observations of Michael Hults both Ben and Shawn might have remained cold cases waiting for a lead to break in the case.

Police and FBI hope that by showing Charles Arlin Henderson’s brightly colored Huffy bike it might spark a memory of someone who saw something the day Arlin disappeared. If you know something please contact your local authorities and give Arlin Henderson’s mom and family the answers they deserve. Allow Arlin to finally come home and be with his family.

To Debbie the mother of Arlin Henderson I am saying my angel prayer for you and your son and hope that soon you will have the answers you need. Arlin Henderson lives on in the many Missourians whom refuse to allow his story end before his family receives the answers they deserve. Bring Charles Arlin Henderson home!
