Life is so full of decisions that have to be made. There is not one of us that can get through a day without making hundreds of decisions. Every decision we make is life changeing. Whether it changes the next few minutes of life, the next few years or whether it changes everything. Very often the choices are serious and confusing. Are you sometimes torn as to which way to go? You are not alone in this. I found this wonderfully simple formula, written by Jo Ann Leavell. It is simple, yet it is profound. I try to use it to check my priorities with as many decisions as possible during my day.
People before projects;
Family before friends;
Husband before children;
Husband before parents;
Tithe before wants;
Bible before opinions;
Jesus before all.
by Jo Ann Leavell
This formula is simple to read, but once I stop and think about it, I see that many of these decisions are difficult to make. Our human nature wants to put our desire for things before the people in our life. Projects seem to be more important than people. sometimes our family is not as interesting as our friends... and so on.
