Summertime is a great time for shoe-lovers. Sandals, flip flops, jelly shoes, wedges, kitten heels, gladiators – so many shoes and so little time to wear them all before the rainy Autumn sets in. But what about the shoes that claim to take you gracefully through the year come rain or shine? They’re not exactly the fashion-followers first choice – rubbery, ugly and garishly coloured, but everybody loves Crocs it seems – do you?
QUICK TIP: Be sure to pamper your feet throughout the summer with regular foot filing and moisturising with a specialised foot cream (regular moisturisers just won’t do as the skin on our feet is much harder than that on our face and body). Baring our feet and walking in sandals throughout the summer causes hard skin and blisters so take care of your feet and invest in a cooling, deodorising spray to ward of sweaty soles and athlete’s foot (not a good look, ladies!)
THE WOMEN’S FASHION BAROMETRE OF COOL: Summer Colours
Women’s Fashion LOVES: Cobalt Blue
This wonderfully bold shade isn’t too pale or too bright and suits pretty much every skin tone and hair colour. Really work this look and choose a beautiful full-length, cobalt dress, perfect for summer weddings and romantic evenings.
Women’s Fashion LOATHES: Scary Neons
The high fashion titles are mad about Nu Rave inspired neons in brash pink, yellow and orange this season. Fun and bright but almost impossible to pull off, we think we’ll leave them for the 80’s theme party.
