Embezzlement, fraud, forgery, theft of petty cash, inventory, and supplies, all fall under the umbrella of employee theft or white collar crime. Burglary, purse snatching, or shoplifting, are considered outright acts of thievery -- but, to your local DA, it´s all theft.
