On a weekly basis this newsletter will reflect on a number of topics, including but not limited to: short story reviews, journal reports, biographical tidbits, alerts to new articles, and an open forum for our readers. I also want to encourage you to share your opinions with me about your favorite subjects and short stories.

I want this newsletter to be very diverse as the Short Story genre is diverse by displaying various points-of-view, and intriguing characters. A short story engages its reader to learn, expose, shiver, laugh, cry, wonder, and scream or any combination in just a few pages.

I want to encourage you to reserve some time to read short stories. They offer a wonderful range of ideas without weighing you down with a large reading commitment. They are perfect companions for lunch breaks and doctor office visits. You can engage in a story while you sit in a subway car wishing you didn’t have to continue looking at the same old scenery. If you have children, they can accompany you while you wait in parent pick-up lines or during athletic practices. This site and newsletter can help fill up your mind when television fails to.

Ideally, inviting all age groups is the goal, but some of the subject matter may not suite everyone. This is a reflection of life.
