Don’s Coaching Rule No. 2
Rule number 2 requires the reader to take a long, hard look at their Softball assumptions and team management skills. If a coach coaches like every other coach, he/she better pray for superior players year in and year out -- otherwise they are in for average (or worse) seasons. Change is GOOD!

3 teams in a row that, on paper, did not seem competitive. 3 teams that ended up exceeding expectations by a long shot. All 3 seasons occurred after I revamped my coaching style, approach, and techniques. I don't think this is a coincidence...so here's the first rule of my coaching approach.

Appeal Plays in Softball
Knowing how to conduct an appeal play correctly, whether a live ball or dead ball appeal, is important for players and coaches to know. Understanding when appeals apply can help erase runs for the other team and avoid outs for your team.
