IŽve been trying to hit a round ball with a round bat since IŽve been able to walk, which means that IŽve been on the diamond for...uh...a lot of years. Being a guy, I grew up playing baseball and played it through high school. Once it became clear that I wasnŽt going to make the big leagues (or even come close to even thinking about it), I transitioned to playing adult slow-pitch softball, and for the past 6 years have been a member of a local co-ed team called "LookinŽ for a Good Time". True to our name, we have fun -- good thing our name isnŽt "LookinŽ for a Few Wins" because then we wouldnŽt be living up to our name!
My true love is coaching kids. IŽve coached Karate, Soccer, and Baseball, but IŽve fallen head-over-heels in love with the sport of Fastpitch Softball. I like that the sport is different enough from baseball that I have to keep learning about it. IŽve definitely found my home in the sports world.
BellaOnlineŽs Softball site will try to cover all areas of the softball world, but IŽll spend most of my time concentrating on Fastpitch Softball, from Rec leagues to Pros and the Olympics. I aim to provide relatively short, concise articles that will give you the reader what you need quickly. That way we can both spend more time out on the fields!!
I also hope to combine softball with one of my other great passions: math and statistics. I promise IŽll keep it fun, though!
