Austin Style Golf

Austin Style Golf
As part of our Member/Guest Tournament on May 23, 2012 we had a special preview night at the home of one of our golfing member. With a little appetizers and a little wine we had the chance to view an array of golfing merchandise from Golf – Austin Style. Cheryl Rippy who is the owner of Golf – Austin Style located in Austin, Texas brought up a good selection of golf outfits and shoes. What a nice way to get together and relax with friends and able to shop at the same time.

Cheryl has been operating her golf shop for the past several years and moved last year to a new location at 6317 Bee Caves Road #210 in Austin, Texas. Since Austin is an hour drive south on Interstate #35 from Salado, we appreciated her bringing a selection of her golf outfits for us to try on and purchase. This was an extra for us as Cheryl will also be playing with one of our members in our tournament the next day.

Golf – Austin Style caters to women golfers with a good selection of the latest style. Check out her Facebook page where you will find a collection of photographs and information of the many different golf outfits and shoes on display. Cheryl’s husband Gary is a Golf Professional and has sessions on line of golf instructions. This family promotes golf with clothing, and instruction from a professional which creates a great team. They promote golf which benefits all of us crazy golf addicts.

I purchased two new shirts and one pair shorts, with the hot summers we have been having here in Texas the past two years you need a variety of golf clothes. Cheryl’s brand called Tail we had a good variety of style, color and she also had discounts. What a deal this was a nice evening and thanks to Cheryl we all came out a winner.

I would suggest to other ladies golf tournament chairman to think up something extra to entice your players and guest to this type of added sideline to your festivities. Anything that will bring some spark to your activities will increase your members to join in the fun. Sometimes we get in a rut and continue to do the same things over and over. I am one for change if we don’t change we don’t grow. I am always looking for something different and we learn new things along the way. By stretching the mind keeps us always on the lookout for new ideas to improve.
