Baked Ham With Strawberry-Pineapple Sauce- 1 (9 to 12 pound) fully cooked boneless or semi-boneless ham, whole or half
- 2 to 3 T. honey or corn syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 T. cornstarch
- 1 (12 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 T. grated orange rind
- 1-1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries or frozen strawberries without syrup
Preparation - Arrange the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 325°, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes per pound or as directed on the ham label. About 30 minutes before the end of the baking time, brush the ham with honey or corn syrup. While the ham is baking, combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Pour 1/4 of the sauce over the ham. Bake at 325° for 20 more minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberries and pineapple just before serving, if desired.
