Cran-Apple Pork Chops

Here's a tasty, delicious variation of baked pork chops and applesauce!

  • 1 T. canola oil
  • 6 large center cut pork chops, well trimmed
  • 1 can (16 oz.) applesauce
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 T. onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Preparation -
Pour the canola oil into a large skillet. Add the pork chops and saute just until very lightly browned. Arrange the pork chops in a large, greased, shallow baking dish. Mix the remaining ingredients together in a bowl. Pour the mixture evenly over the pork chops in the baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and and bake in a preheated oven at 325º for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
