Grateful Dead to Tour in 2009

Grateful Dead to Tour in 2009
Get out your beads, put on a tie dye and bring your, um, brownies- The Dead are going on tour. The Grateful Dead toured for 30 years, staying on the road almost constantly from 1965 to 1995. Those days ended when frontman Jerry Garcia passed away in 1995. The surviving members of the band still occasionally tour, the last time being a 2004 U.S. summer tour.

Now, the remaining members of the band have come together for a 2009 U.S. tour. The latest incarnation of the Grateful Dead, without Jerry Garcia, is now officially called simply "The Dead." Warren Haynes will be replacing the late Garcia as the band's lead guitarist.
