Recipe of the Week!
This recipe isn’t for food, but it’s just as useful! Here’s a really easy way to make your own Halloween makeup!
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp softened shortening
4 Tbsp cornstarch
1 package food coloring
1 black eyeliner pencil
Directions:
Mix the shortening and cornstarch and separate into small bowls or shallow cups to create a variety of colors. Add food coloring to each bowl of paste. Great colors to use are blue, green, yellow, and red. You can also follow the directions on the food coloring box to mix other colors. Make sure your face is clean and dry. To protect the skin, you may want to apply cold cream to your face prior to applying makeup. If you apply cold cream, also apply cornstarch to create a dry palate to work on. Apply your makeup with Q-tips, cotton balls, and fingers. You may also choose to use very inexpensive paintbrushes or triangular makeup sponges.
