Beer Fox Tip of the Week:
It's time for the 2006 release of wet-hopped Warrior IPA from Left Hand Brewing Company, Longmont, Colorado, USA. Hops are freshly picked from the brewery's own hop farm, then blended with Warrior hops from Yakima, Washington. Well balanced, with 6.6% ABV and 60 IBU's.
Look for Warrior IPA in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:
One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store.
When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven.
When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird.
With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry.
It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!
Yep..................SHE'S BLONDE!
Beer News:
Oscar Blues in Lyons, Colorado, USA, announces the release of their latest product for beer lovers: Old Chub Stick - gourmet lip balm made with lots of natural ingredients to slick your pouters: beeswax, cocoa butter, almond oil, macadamia nut oil, chocolate, and Old Chub Scottish Style Ale. It even has additional reinforcements of beechwood-smoked malts from Germany.
Beer Fox recommendation: Enjoy the long, sweet finish of Old Chub Scottish Style Ale; then stretch those flavors with a slathering of Old Chub Lip Balm on your lips. The SPF-15 protects the lips from harsh elements. Price is reasonable at $3 per tube. Caution: you may have some ultimate, intimate encounters with Old Chub enthusiasts.

Craft Brew of the Week Award:
Epluche-culotte - Midnight Sun Brewing Company, Anchorage, Alaska, USA
Style: Tripel
A gigantic, off-white head of cream stands persistently above the rim of the glass, with a hazed, amber-peach body standing beneath, pushing tiny bubbles of effervescence through its length. Aromas of citrus - lemon and orange - blend with maltiness, banana, apple, peach and apricot. Bready yeast and spice grab the palate. Truly an ambrosia from the gods of Olympus! At 9% ABV, it is warming to the body. Yet, the light mouthfeel and effervescence add to its drinkable qualities.
Cheers!
