Have you ever had an idea that you thought FOR SURE would make you rich? Do you remember ALL the time and money you invested only to see little or no return on your investment?

I have and let me be completely honest... it still stings like a paper cut!

Now, I'm not big on dwelling on the past, but this is an exception to the rule. Why? Because I learned a valuable lesson that I am going to share with you in hopes you avoid the same pitfalls I faced with launching a new product.

Three years ago, I had this great idea to package my knowledge (for the first time) and write a guide book on child modeling. It took me 2 months to write, edit and get the cover designed. I even hired a webmaster to design the sales page.

I was filled with so much excitement that it was really hard for me to sleep...

I just knew this was going to sell like hot cakes because I was a model and actor and I had successfully launched the career of my godson. He signed with Wilhelmina one of the world's prestigious modeling agencies, modeled for companies like J Crew, Macy's and Children's Place just to name a few.

There was no way I could fail because I knew there were tens of thousands of parents looking to get their child in the business to be the next big Disney star like Miley Cyrus and child movie star Lindsay Lohan (before they went to the dark side...lol)

So I launched my book and promoted it to my family, friends, on social media and even Clickbank for 3 months... I DID NOT SELL one book!

After months with a few inquiries and no sells I removed the book from the market... I was devastated, embarrassed and lost a couple thousand dollars which was all I had at the time.
