One day, the pilot of a Cherokee 180 was told by the tower to hold short of the runway while a DC-8 landed. The DC-8 landed, rolled out, turned around, and taxied back past the Cherokee.

Some quick-witted comedian in the DC-8 crew got on the radio and said:

"What a cute little plane. Did you make it yourself?"

Our hero, the Cherokee pilot, (not about to let the insult go by), came back with a real zinger: "I made it out of DC-8 parts. Another landing like that and I'll have enough parts for another one."

Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey of Denver, Colorado has been named Best Small Batch Distillery Whiskey of the Year in Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible 2009. As Colorado's first micro-distillery, Stranahan's distinctive process blends the techniques used to make Scotch and Bourbon whiskies to produce whiskey with a smooth mouthfeel, loight taste, and amber-ruby coloring. The process used is patent-pending, and has been featured on the History Channel Modern Marvels program. Stranahan's also received Best of Show at the American Distilling Institute Annual Conference of Craft Distillers in the Spring of 2008.
