Italian Party Sandwich Recipe

What is the weather like in your area? Kansas has been just like Spring. It's hard to believe that it's just February. This is the month that brings the Super Bowl and Valentine's Day to mind.

This week I was thinking about the Super Bowl. Are you having company over to watch the game? Do you enjoy having friends and family over for a meal at your house, but you hate getting stuck in the kitchen? Use Italian Party Sandwiches as the main event on your buffet table. Let people serve themselves as you get pleasure from their company.

What if you find out that you made too many sandwiches because you didn't want to run out of food? Don't despair! Recycle that sandwich and make it dinner for the next day. Here's how:

Hot Italian Party Sandwich Recipe
Each Sandwich Half Serves 3 – 4 people
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.

Use the Italian Party Sandwich Recipe. Cut and hollow out the bread as directed, or use a leftover sandwich. Spread each side of the bread with marinara sauce. It takes about 8 ounces of sauce for a full loaf of bread. Layer the meats and cheeses and cover with the top piece of bread. Cut the sandwich in half. Wrap each half in heavy aluminum foil. Leave a small opening at the top, so that the bread will stay crisp. Bake the sandwich halves for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven and slice the sandwiches being careful not to burn your hand. I put a clean paper towel between the sandwich and my hand. Serve your sandwiches immediately. They are a bit messy, but oh so tasty!
