It's spring. And spring seems like one of those typical springs of yesteryear with cool spring days peppered here and there with beautiful sunny days and low 70s. Lately it seems that here in Ohio we have a gloomy, overcast day followed by a nearly cloudless day that allows Nature's paintbrush to color our world. Have you noticed how a little sunlight just brings color to everything around us?

I'm a little late planning my garden this year. I haven't had a garden for several years, but I really want one this year. The cost of everything seems to be skyrocketing, motivating me more this year. The other thing is that there is a sense of pleasure and satisfaction when I harvest food from a garden--vegetables and herbs that I've grown myself. My intention is to have a series of articles over the summer that you and I can both use for future information.
