Editor's Note -

Greetings and welcome to all newcomers.

We have begun a new month and summer is on it's way. Many of us begin making way for outdoor fun. Pool parties, family get togethers and fun in the sun are all looked forward to as the month of May represents the beginning of summer fun. May is also Barbecue Month so get your grills ready to be fired up with the first weekend of great warm weather.

Holidays and Observances -

Some other observance for the month of May are:
Health Awareness Month, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Military Appreciation Month
Cinco de Mayo Day is on the 5 of May and Mother's Day falls on the 13 of May
Weekly Observances are Alcohol and Other Drug-Related Birth Defects Awareness week, Suicide Awareness week.
For those of you who enjoy scrapbooking, National Scrapbooking Day is observed on the first Saturday of the month.
