Editor's Note -
Welcome to all newcomers and greetings to all loyal subscribers and readers.
Summer is well on it's way as we approach temperatures near the 100 degree mark. It has been really humid for the past few weeks and it is expected to climb even higher with the hot weather on it's way. But one interesting fact is that while it is summer time for us here in the northern hemisphere, it is winter time for the people in the southern hemisphere.
So in the midst of pool parties, cookouts and outdoor activities, we are focused on capitalizing the *Christmas in July* concept. Some of you may have heard of this and others may not be so familiar. However, there are many celebrations, events and activities that take place during this time of the year; which is why it is a perfect time to do something different, a little out of the ordinary with your newsletter.
During the month of July consider focusing your newsletter contents towards Christmas amid the various outing of outdoor adventures and events. By focusing your newsletter on this concept you give your readers a jump start to their holiday shopping and gift giving ideas. And it all begins with your newsletter; therefore you now have their undivided attention. With this you are in a position to promote and market your newsletter. You could use this time to do a big push to get new subscribers with a promotional incentive program of sorts.
If you already publish a *Christmas in July* newsletter we'd love to hear about your experiences in the community forum. Maybe your ideas will help someone else get the jump start they need to do the same.
