Warm weather beers are more refreshing than other beers. These include wheat beers, Saisons, farmhouse ales, and sahti. They are light, crisp and dry, some with the fruity flavors of banana, others with the complexity of apple, lemon, sherbet, and vanilla. Hops dance in the background, asserting themselves at the finish.

Beer News:
The Great British Beer Festival runs from August 1st to August 5th, 2006,and is being held at Earls Court, London, England, U.K. The "Biggest Pub in the World" will spotlight over 500 different ales from the UK and across the globe. The CAMRA sponsored event is the largest showcase for real ale in the world.
Seminars and tastings by such big names as Roger Protz, Jeff Evans, Adrian Tierney-Jones, Keith Bott, Lorenzo Dabove and Tom Perera will focus on the Champion Beer of Britain, Bottled Beer Tasting, Intro to Beer Styles, Good
German Beer, and Endagered Beer Styles. There will also be live music, street theatre, pub quizzes, pub games, and food to add spice to an already fabulous venue.
Of particular note are the Young Members Events for those between 18 and 30 years old. These will include bar crawls, cider bar training, and tasting sessions.

Festive Ale - Rogue Ales, Brewers on the Bay, Newport, Oregon, USA
Style: Saison
Clear, deep-amber body rests in the glass with a modest creamy head capping the top, while aromas of malt, oranges - or are they nectarines? - flowers and pepper rise to the nasal passages. A biscuity malt holds the base, while citric lemon, licorice, earth and yeast surge across the tongue, touched by an emphatic glaze of orange peel. Medium full mouthfeel with light effervescence makes for a complex, colorful, summer refresher.
