Wedding Beer
Aroma is a powerful temptress. She enters the mind through the olfactory senses, lingering in the background to activate memories, long thought forgotten.

Beer Fox Laugh of the Week:

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.

Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.
The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following
results:
The first worm in alcohol - Dead.
The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead
Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead
Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.

So the Minister asked the congregation:
"What can you learn from this demonstration? "

Eloise was sitting in the back. She quickly raised her hand and said,
"As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

That pretty much ended the service...

Beer News:

Abashiri Beer Brewery in Nakashibetsu, Hokkaido, Japan is producing a low-malt beer made with milk, developed to help use up surplus milk in the Japanese market. Sale of the new product began in February, 2007. Milk makes up one-third of the contents and necessitates the careful control of temperature throughout the boil. When yeast and hops are added, the drink mimics the appearance and aroma of tea with milk. After fermentation is complete, it takes on the hazy, amber look of a dark wheat beer, with mild fruity flavors.

The new phrase, "I'm not getting drunk, I'm fighting off osteoporosis by building strong bones and teeth," has a catchy sound to it...

Craft Beer of the Week Award

Otter Kilter (Otter Creek World Tour) - Otter Creek Brewing/ Wolaver's, Middlebury, Vermont, USA

Style - Scottish Style Wee Heavy

Otter Kilter pours a deep mahogany into the glass, with a thin, creamy head and swaths of generous lacing. Aromas are of roasty caramel malt, with woody earthiness and an herbal essence. The medium-full mouthfeel accentuates sweet, toasted malts and a lingering peat in the finish. Only a feathering of hops floats in the background. Satiating drinkability!

Cheers!
