I wasn't always happy about the possibility of inheriting my mother's figure, and paid anxious attention to my shape while growing up because of it. In my teenage years, potential boyfriends asked if I was going to look like her. It was all very sad, but typical of the self-conscious developing years. Fortunately, there are good things about the connection between mother and daughter in body image. Stay aware of your own relationships and the body image connections you have to them.
