First I do apologize for the gap between my newsletters. Am sure we have all been through those weeks when one thinks "Good Grief!", and that just about sums up the reason.

However here we are with the latest instalment, and as spring is around the corner, or should be if only the sun would come out a little more often and the temperature rise a bit, these articles are related to Fruehling....which will arrive eventually.


Storks are amongst Germany's favorite wildlife, the subject of many myths and superstitions, and when they return to their German nests after over-wintering in Africa it's a clear signal spring can not be far away.

Although it still might be cold and even with snow in places, as it is now.

While The German Stork Route, which crosses many other popular scenic and historic tourist routes in the north and east of Germany, also comes to life towards the end of March and until September when the spectacular, large and bulky stork's nests are filled with breeding pairs and their young
