Fields of the Fatherless book review
Fields of the Fatherless is historical fiction, based on actual events. It is an accurate presentation of the events of a brutal battle as seen through the eyes of those caught in its midst.
As a child, freedom meant being released from rules and schedules. As an adult it was living in a free country. Neither of these really guarantees freedom. We all live under the power of another.
We are apt to follow a leader who emanates self-confidence, has strong speaking ability, and a captivating personality. We imagine they have never made mistakes and were always law abiding citizens.
A name is a significant thing. Upon hearing the name of someone we've never seen, we begin to form a picture. We begin to create their identity.
Short Memories and Little Faith
Have you ever had one of those weeks, or months, where every day brings a new struggle? Does it seem hopeless? There is encouragement in the bible story of the Exodus.
