I am the married mother of two boys and I live in New England in the United States. I am a voracious reader. I enjoy yoga and belly dance. I am an animal lover. I work part-time outside of the home. I do volunteer work at my church and with the Boy Scouts.

I truly love writing and have been, among other things, editor of my high school newspaper , intern on a local paper, office newsletter editor and a columnist. I´m currently working on both a novel and a memoir. Having taken leadership and advocacy training I believe it is a blessing to be able to use your gifts to help someone who has experienced the same difficult situations you have.

I have had a total of five miscarriages. Two were very early in the first trimester and blamed on chromosomal abnormalities. Three were in the second trimester and no cause was ever found. In 2008, I got pregnant with my miracle baby and made it through the entire pregnancy without incident. Unfortunately, my daughter was born with a severe congenital heart and lung defect and died when she was four days old.

I am not a medical expert but I have read extensively on miscarriage and other infant loss in an attempt to answer many of my own questions. My own miscarriages and experience with neonatal death were devastating. Still, I found being able to network with other women who´d experienced similar losses was helpful to the healing process.
