Mushrooms can be an incredibly tasty side dish for any low carb diet. This mushroom recipe includes garlic and red wine vinegar.
2 cups baby bella mushrooms
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
4 cloves garlic
Cut baby bella mushrooms into halves or quarters depending on how large they are. Put them into a Tupperware container and pour red wine vinegar over the top until they are sitting in a 1/4" layer of wine. Add in the garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper to taste. Seal and shake well to coat all, then let sit for at least an hour.
Chop up the garlic and mix it in. If you have a grill basket, you can grill these outside, otherwise a frying pan will do. Grill for 10 minutes over a medium to high heat. The mushrooms will shrink down and soften as they cook.
This is very tasty as a side dish, and garlic is very healthy for you. It can even lower your cholesterol levels!
