Looking for a healthy snack that fits the low carb and Atkins way? Give peanut butter with apples a try - but be sure it's a natural, sugar-free peanut butter!
Note this is NOT for people in induction - the carb count is above induction levels!! But if you're in maintenance and are eating pretty low-carb foods all day, this could be a special snack to have occasionally. An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but with the amount of sugar in those apples, it can cause other problems :)
4 Tbsp natural peanut butter
Be sure to get the peanut butter without sugar!! Smuckers makes some that is 5g for 2 Tbsp. Cut the apple into segments and smear a little peanut butter onto each wedge. Enjoy!
Carbs per serving: 22g
Note that with the peanut butter only giving you 5g of carbs, the rest comes from ... that sugary apple!
