Chilis is a casual pub style restaurant found in much of the US. How well can you eat at a Chilis while on a low carb or Atkins diet?
Most restaurants have trouble with good appetizers - everything they served is breaded. Chilis actually has 3 types of buffalo wing flavors, so as long as you ask for a light layer of sauce you should be all set.
There is an entire section of the menu for grilled foods, which is great! You can get chicken, steak or fish dishes. All come with vegetables. Yes, they come with rice too, but just ask to substitute vegetables for the rice. They'll do that without any problem, and now you have a healthy dish that's just right.
They even have a selection of light beers and wines on the menu, so you have ample choices of drinks to go with your food.
We've gone here several times and each time I'm impressed with the menu, and impressed with the service. Just about the only complaint I have is that they have only one diet drink on the menu - Diet Coke. It'd be nice for them to carry the Minute Maid Light as well.
I find the service at Chilis to be quick and friendly, and the food to be well made. I definitely keep an eye out for Chilis when we're out shopping or seeing movies!
