Christmas Scrapbook

Christmas is a time of year that everyone brings out their cameras! What do you do with all of your Christmas photos? Why not create a Christmas Scrapbook.

My family has several Christmas celebrations each year. With all of those celebrations comes lots of pictures! A few years ago I decided that my Christmas photos deserved an album of their own. I started a "Christmas Memories" scrapbook. This scrapbook houses all of the photos from Christmas past. My first volume starts out with mine and my husbands first Christmas together. In that album I will also add some of mine and my husbands Christmas celebrations as children. My plan is to just keep adding to the albums until they are full. When the album is full I will create the next volume in a new album.

I am behind on getting my Christmas Memories albums done. However, with just a little photo organization this project will be fairly simple to complete! I would like to challenge you to start with this Christmas and start your Christmas Memories album! Then you can go back and catch up from years past.

My Christmas Memories album is organized in Chapters according to the year. Each year starts with a Chapter title page which includes a photo of the Christmas tree and our Christmas card that year. That chapter includes the events of that years Christmas celebrations. Some years I have lots of pages, and other years just a few.

We have four family Christmas celebrations each year. We do Christmas with my mother-in-law at her house, then again at my father-in-law's house, then at my parent's house and of course the Christmas morning celebration at our house. Then there is also the Christmas recitals, church plays, parties and whatever else that years celebrations include! I scrap all of those events and include them in the chapter according to the year.

The thing that I really love about having this Christmas Memories scrapbook is being able to look back over past Christmas photos all in one place. Watching the children grow with each chapter is really neat. I used to keep all of my Christmas photos in the family album. I have found that I really just love having all of the Christmas photos in one place! I do still create one or two Christmas layouts for the end of the family album each year too.

The Christmas Memories album is the perfect thing to lay out on your coffee table during the holiday season. My children really love flipping through all of the old photos and recalling those Christmas memories from the past.
