Home Pride Carb Action Bread

Home Pride's butter top wheat bread was always one of my favorite sandwich breads, before my low carb diet. Now HomePride has come out with low carb versions of their white and multigrain!

The white has 6g net carbs per slice, and the multigrain has 7g net carbs. These aren't good numbers for induction, but for any other stage of a low carb lifestyle, these are great. You could literally have toast for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and then a slice with dinner and still have a healthy day of eating. Plus the fiber in the bread is good for you!

But how does it taste? We really enjoyed it a lot. It doesn't taste "off" in any way. It's springy, it's tasty, it slices well if you cut your sandwiches in half. Turkey and cheese is a very healthy lunch, and it does perfectly for that. Stay away from sandwich meats that are processed - those can be full of chemicals that aren't very good for you. But for fresh meats, or for tunafish (chunk light, not white) this is just right.

Highly recommended as a way to keep fiber in your diet while avoiding the sugar-filled regular breads that line our supermarket shelves!
