Mill Creek Grand Opening

Mill Creek Grand Opening
I am working with J. L. Lewis golf Professional on Mill Creek Grand Opening of the golf course. I represent the Mill Creek Community Association where I have published their newsletter that goes to 640 residents in Mill Creek. I approached Lewis that if we worked together we could get a large crowd to come and see the work done on the golf course and club house. It was brought up to the new owner’s board meeting and they agreed this would be a good way to attract people to the golf course.

I offered this to our MCCA board to send this invitation to all Mill Creek households with the newsletter. We would use this as our annual spring outing and hopefully get a good crowd to see the potential of an updated golf course in our community. This could also benefit the MCCA in getting new members to join our organization in helping developing Mill Creek to be the best community people will want to live.

The new Mill Creek board and J. L. Lewis agreed that inviting the resident of Mill Creek would be a sure way to get a good crowd to their grand opening. I invited J. L. to come to our MCCA board meeting but he was having a golf lesson at the same time. Hopefully he can make our next meeting and we can work at coordinating other events together. I feel we need cooperation with both boards to promote Mill Creek as a great community to live plus play golf on a great upgraded golf course. We should be proud of what we have here in central Texas and promote Mill Creek and the Country Club to possible new permanent residents.

The Grand Opening of the Country Club will be April 26 and the Mill Creek Resident will be invited to come from 6-9 p.m. to view the new club house and partake of a Hamburger meal if they so desire. They can take note of pictures on display of the golf course upgrade and news of future plans. A flyer will be distributed as to various memberships available and plans for future expansion.

The new upgraded pond will feature a fountain that will display colored lights. We hope all these improvements to the golf course will encourage Mill Creek residents to become members of this club plus members of the MCCA as well and work together to improve our small part of Texas. We have a wonderful community and try to keep it in good repair so it is a pleasant place to visit or live. With the new Country Club it will make the Mill Creek Community the best place to live in Texas. With the dwindling MCCA membership maybe this event will bring more support for the Association so more exciting events can take place.

I have visited with J. L. Lewis so our groups can work together to make the Grand Opening a success. It will be exciting to see the completed club house and swimming pool plus the beautiful pond with the lighted fountain. The new owners have made some great stride in their upgrading Mill Creek Country Club.
