As a Color Therapist I have a long standing interest in Aura Soma, the dual color bottle healing system conceived by Vicky Wall. Aura Soma works on a deep soul level. When you look at the array of bottles with their jewel like colors you are simply drawn to those bottles you need for your wellbeing. Each has a message which can be used to help uncover your latent talents and help you along your soul path. I love to look at the bottles as they are displayed backlit and glow radiantly; just gazing at them is a real pleasure.
Each bottle contains essences of gemstones and plants. The upper fraction contains water based extracts and the lower fraction oil based, so that one colour floats over the other. In interpretation of the choices people make this can be seen as the upper color representing the conscious mind and the lower colour the subconscious. Shaken together they make a temporary emulsion and a third colour is created in the process which Aura Soma recommends you apply to your skin. The Aura Soma books will tell you how and where to apply them. You can also absorb the color frequencies simply by gazing at your chosen bottle.
Vicky Wall was an incredible and highly intuitive lady, I found her autobiography fascinating and the brightly colored bottles are her legacy to the world. The greatest irony is that she lost her physical eyesight, yet was still able to develop these beautiful bottles.
I was visiting Glastonbury, UK, recently. I had performed a lovely Handfasting ritual there for a couple on the Full Moon and next day I went into town to distribute fliers for my next Crystal Therapy course which I run there every year. I stepped into Stone Age, the crystal shop made famous by owner Lui Krieg. That day Tania was in the shop and I got chatting to her about Aura Soma. Tania has a beautiful calm presence and offers Aura Soma consultations and the Aura Soma bottles are displayed in the shop.
I ran my eyes across the bottles and was strongly drawn by one that had violet over blue. She took a look at the number and read out, number 75 ‘Go with the Flow’. I was amazed. 'Go with the Flow' was the very first Aura Soma bottle I ever bought, around 15 years ago, the true color of the bottle is magenta over turquoise. This particular bottle had clearly been hard at work in the shop and its colors were still very beautiful, but totally different. It had transformed itself and tricked me into paying proper attention to its message again!
What interested me was the Keynote message:
A deeper understanding, particularly a reorientation in relation to the family picture.
I had just returned from a visit to my extended family, spending time reconnecting to my Aunts, Uncle and some of my cousins following a very painful split with my immediate family a few years ago when my past life book, Light behind the Angels, was published. It was very healing to be in their presence and to feel their love for me. It felt like an important visit and I could take this Keynote message as confirmation of the shift I had felt.
Added to that the opening lines of this bottle’s description say,
Vicky used to call this combination the Twin Soul bottle. She felt that working with Magenta/Turquoise could help us align with or come closer to our twin soul.
Those who have read Light behind the Angels know it is the story of finding and staying with my Twin Flame, despite all the obstacles that were placed in our path as the painful legacy of the past bled through into this lifetime. It tells of healing the rift that threatened to separate us for eternity. The message from this bottle reminded me of our Twin Soul journey, which continues to this day. This message wasn’t in the old book on Aura Soma that I have had for so long and used so much that pages are now falling out. When I first picked bottle number 75 all those years ago I had no idea about the spiritual path that awaited me. That message wouldn’t have made sense back then, but it seems that everything has unfolded in Divine timing and the bottle now confirms that I am on track with my purpose, can relax and let myself, ‘Go with the Flow’.
I treated myself to the new Aura Soma book there and then,The Aura-Soma Sourcebook: Color Therapy for the Soul by Mike Booth and Carol McKnight. It is printed in full color and is more up to date as it includes descriptions of 12 of the more recently developed bottles, including the last bottle I was drawn to buy, number 95, Magenta over Gold, Archangel Gabriel. I like the format of the newer book very much. Every bottle is clearly pictured with its description. The older Aura Soma book is still a valuable reference for color therapists as it is more detailed, but the new book is ideal for working with color healing and using the Aura Soma bottles for yourself, friends and family. There is a double display page of the bottles in full color at the back of the book so you can gaze at them and see which bottles jump out at you, then look up their significance.
