Berenstain Bears - And The Mama’s Day Surprise

Berenstain Bears - And The Mama’s Day Surprise
The clever authors, Jan and Stan Berenstain, are back in The Berenstain Bears and the Mama's Day Surprise (First time books). The lovable Berenstain Bear family consists of Papa, Mama, Brother and Sister. The family lives in a treehouse in Bear Country. They celebrate Mother's Day in the picture book.

The Berenstain cubs and their father plan to surprise Mama on Mother's Day. Observant Mama notices them reading a recipe and viewing her bathrobe. She reads the recipe and stocks the required ingredients in the cupboard. The bedtray is taken from storage and washed.

Mama remembers the debris left by the Berenstain cubs and Papa last year on Mother's Day. She reconciles herself to the fact, there is nothing she can do about the kitchen being left in ruin this year.

Mother's Day morning, the Berenstain cubs and Papa are in the kitchen. They are there a long time. A curious Mama tiptoes down the stairs. She finds her family fixing breakfast in the kitchen. Foods are burnt. The kitchen is in disarray. Mama creeps up the stairs and returns to bed.

In a short time, Mama has a pleasant breakfast in bed. A new robe is her Mother's Day gift. Everything is going as she predicts. The family leaves to allow her to enjoy the meal in peace.

Breakfast finished, Mama goes downstairs. Surprise! The kitchen is spotless!

Jan and Stan Berenstain teach another life lesson in their subtle manner. Children learn via a delightful story that leaving a clean kitchen on Mother's Day will make their mother's heart sing. No child wants to displease their mother on Mother's Day.

The picture book is appropriate for children four-years-old and older. It is at this age, children start preparing meals for Mother's Day. Jan & Stan Berenstain show children the correct way to leave a kitchen after meal preparation. It is a good habit to clean the kitchen after every meal.
