Avery® Marketing Solutions Product Labels

I love office supply, paper and arts and crafts stores. While shopping for mailing labels at one of the office superstores the other day, I looked around for what was new. What I found was Avery’s labels for bottles, jars, boxes and more. So when I got back to my office I visited Avery’s website to check out these labels.

Avery refers to this line of labels as Marketing Solutions. You are able to create your own labels for your home-made products or you could offer this as a service to your clients helping them create a brand for their products.

The labels come in many shapes including round, square, rectangle, ovals and arched labels like you would see on wine bottles. There are white, glossy white, glossy clear, textured white, Kraft brown, pearlized ivory and there are two inch round labels that are embossed matte silver and gold. For those who are earth-friendly, Avery’s Kraft brown labels are made from 100% recycled materials and are recyclable themselves.

Interesting products that they also offer are called bag toppers. These labels fold over the top of the provided plastic bags and even have a punch-out so that the bags can be hung for display. The bags are then filled from the bottom and there is a self-adhesive strip that seals the bottom of the bag.

A lot of the labels you can print to the edge using either an inkjet or laser printers. Some labels are only to be used on either an inkjet or laser printer so be sure to check before buying. The adhesive is permanent on all but one product, allowing the labels to be attached to glass, plastic, paper and possibly other surfaces. One of their label products is a removable white rectangle label.

Avery provides templates for all their labels that can be downloaded from their website for free. They have templates for Microsoft Word, Publisher, Works and Access, as well as templates for Corel, WordPerfect, The Print Shop, PrintMaster and more. Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office has templates for their labels, business cards and dividers in one easy download.

Avery’s Design and Print Online is a free service allowing you to design your labels on their website using one of their pre-designed templates or use your own images without downloading anything to your computer. You do have to provide your name and email address for access. Avery also offers a free Toolbar download that allows you to easily get Avery Templates, product information and tips on using their products.

Avery’s website is full of not only templates, but you can also view videos demonstrating their products, read reviews from folks that have used their products, find locations to purchase or purchase labels directly from Avery. I see a new service that I am going to start offering on my website and to my clients!
