Kellogs Special K Low Carb Cereal

Kellogs Special K Low Carb Cereal
It seems that everyone is hopping on the low sugar cereal bandwagon. It's about time! Special K now has a low carb cereal with 9g net carbs.

The cereal is like normal Special K - cornflake types of pieces. These are made with wheat, soy and rice flakes. In a given bowl you get 9g of net carbs, including 5g of fiber.

We found this to be quite tasty and held up well in milk. Note that your milk will of course add carbs to the meal, so go with a low carb variety.

If you're a cornflake fan you're probably used to livening up your cereal with sugar or berries. Splenda works perfectly for a sweetness without the calories. Many berries are FULL of antioxidants so it can be a treat to add on blueberries and cinnamon.

This won't work well for people just getting into low carb, as 9g is relatively high for those first two weeks. After that, though, this can be the perfect, quick way to get yourself going in the morning with a healthy meal. Remember, you should NEVER skip breakfast, it is critical that your body have the fuel it needs to get going in the day. If you screw up your metabolism by starving it in the morning, it won't be able to do anything properly - including burning fat.

Well recommended for healthy eaters of all types :)
