Lifechoice Low Carb Dinners

Frozen dinners used to be Salisbury Steak, full of salt. Nowadays you can actually eat healthy frozen dinners. Lifechoice gives you some great options.

Note that these meals are not good for people in induction level. Their carb range is 10-15g per meal, meaning they are healthy for people on a low carb lifestyle but can be too high for people in the starting stages.

One of my favorites is the cheese broccoli scramble, with eggs and bacon in cheese sauce. You might think this is a breakfast meal, but I enjoy it at any time of the day. It's got 4g of fiber and 9g of net carbs in it, plus a good amount of broccoli. I'm normally sensitive to salt, but even though this has a fair amount of salt in it, it was still tasty.

On the other side of the coin, the plastic they use to cover these dinners is VERY thin and completely annoying. Little strips break off and sit in the dinner. Some of the meals - like the beef pot roast - are very plain with little flavor.

I definitely do NOT recommend eating frozen dinners all the time. They are not nearly as healthy for you as fresh food, have a lot of salt, and usually cost more, too. It's far easier to just spend a bit of time at the beginning of each week planning out your week's meals, and if you do it properly the actual mealtime goes very quickly. But if you want emergency supplies in the freezer for the race-out-the-door moments, some of these offerings do nicely.
