Arnold Schwarzenegger and Martial Arts will be descending upon Columbus Ohio on March 4-6, 2005 for the annual Arnold Martial Arts Festival.

The Festival is part of a full weekend of the Arnold Classic Fitness Expo that will take place in Columbus that weekend. Schwarzenegger, with a long history of keen interest in sports and fitness, has gathered the top professionals in all areas of health and fitness. Among other things, this weekend will cover personal training, nutrient, fencing, dancesport, cheerleading, archery, gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, and, of course, body building and strength training.

There's something for everyone at this event.

I, personally, will be spending some time in the Martial Arts Festival, which will be featuring: Aikido, Breaking, Chinese Martial Arts, Combative Sports Weapons, Gracies, Hapkido, Judo, Kali, Karate, Kendo, Mixed Martial Arts, Sanshou, Self Defense, and Tae Kwon Do.

In addition to competitions, there will be demos, shows, and special seminars to sign-up for. This year, there will be demonstration competition (much like the evaluation period for the Olympics to consider a new sport) for: Okinawan Ryu Kyu Kobudo, Brazilian Capoeira, American Eclectic Weapons, Japanese Kyudo (archery), Western style boxing, and Japanese Sumo.
