Bourbon Low Carb Information Whiskey, Whisky and Bourbon are all very similar drinks, made in different locations. Pretty much every bourbon on the market - from Southern Comfort to Wild Turkey - is zero carbs. In general, bourbon is a whiskey made in Kentucky. In general, whiskies from Scotland and Canada are spelled "whisky" while others are spelled "whiskey". Whiskys from Scotland are called "Scotch". Whiskeys from Kentucky are called "bourbon" (because there was a Bourbon county in Kentucky). They are all the same thing - fermented grain alcoholic beverages. While I can say with great certainty that every bourbon *should* be 0g of carbs per serving, here are the ones I have specifically verified for people: Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey - 0g carbs, 0g fat, 72 calories per 1oz - from TN of course. It's not Bourbon because it's not from Kentucky! Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky - 0g carbs - from Scotland, a blended variety. They use 27 different distilleries. Full Details on Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky Southern Comfort Bourbon - 2.7g carbs per 1oz - from Kentucky, this is a peach flavored liqueur which is where you get the carbs Wild Turkey Bourbon - 0g carbs - from Kentucky, this straight bourbon has zero carbs. I got this information directly from the Wild Turkey folks. Old Crow Bourbon - 0g carbs - an ancient bourbon, loved by Ulysses S. Grant. If you have another type of bourbon that you love, please let me know, and I will research it to add in to this list! There are many fun recipes that involve bourbon (and its relatives) which are rather low carb.
