Leading ladies have changed looks and description across the years. In earlier times we had beauties such as Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Wood and Audrey Hepburn. When you picture these beautiful women you think of their classic look. They certainly had sex appeal but in a more conservative manner than todays leading ladies. We think of their great old movies and interesting lives. These ladies will forever be remembered.

When I think of leading ladies, many come to mind. We have a vast range of individual talents and beauties. They are all different and special in their own way. One of the more popular ladies of today is the one and only Angelina Jolie. With her stunning looks, great performances and interesting family life, we all love to see her in action. Angelina is a very unique woman. She plays a lot of tough roles and always pulls it off perfectly.

Then we have two of the more mature beautiful leading ladies. Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon. They are both gorgeous and extremely talented women, with a long list of movies to both of their names. These are two of the greats that will always be remembered and admired.

We have a string of more recent actresses that are taking film by storm. Charlize Theron is simply gorgeous. She plays some very different and challenging roles and is always great. I’ll especially mention her role in the movie Monster as Aileen Wuornos, a serial killer who was given the death penalty. She did an amazing job, such a great performance.

Natalie Portman is another more fresh-faced young talent. She recently starred in the movie Black Swan which has been hugely popular. This was a very difficult role and she was perfect for it. Natalie Portman is one of my favourite leading ladies, she works hard and it always pays off. I’ve seen her popping up in a lot more movies recently, which I think is great.

Perhaps one of the newest leading ladies is the wonderful Amanda Seyfried. She’s a lovely blonde haired, blue eyed and very talented actress. You will probably recognise her most from the movies: Mama Mia, Dear John, Letters to Juliet and Chloe.

Then we come to our favourites from modern day films, such as the great Nicole Kidman. She has a long list of movies to her name and is one of the most well known actresses from today. Her gorgeous red hair and fair skin makes her a real beauty. From movies like Australia all the way to The Others, she always leaves us wanting more.

Drew Barrymore with her girl- next-door charm is another very popular actress from today. She stars in more romantic comedies than anything else, but we first saw her in the movie E.T. She has a very distinct voice and seems very comfortable within herself and comes across as very friendly.

Another extraordinary actress is Cate Blanchett. She is a very talented individual. With movies such as: Charlotte Gray, Elizabeth and Babel. She is wonderful to watch on and off the screen and is very graceful.
