Sinking Fast

Sinking Fast
At some point in your life you might ask, "Lord, where are you?" You may feel as if you are sinking fast. The Lord said that he will never leave you nor forsake you.

The Lord never leaves us. There are times when we walk away from him unknowingly. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life. The Holy Spirit can guide us in all truth.

When we fully grasp this realization, we will be able to make choices that will bring life into our situation. Hebrews 11:6 tells us But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It is easy to know of God. We know that he exists. Will we allow him to be in control of our lives? We can make things harder for ourselves when we take matters into our own hands instead of seeking him first by going to God in prayer for guidance. Regardless of what we do or how we do it, the Lord is in control.

During those times of separation from God, we must realize the error of our ways and seek ye the Lord. Make a conscious decision to turn away from sin. The thoughts in your mind that are contrary to the ways of the Lord must also go.

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

This scripture tells us that the Lord will have mercy upon you. Mercy is something that you don’t deserve. Not only will he have mercy on you, but he will also remember your sins no more. The word pardon is a very strong word. The Lord will pardon abundantly. You will never have to hear about those sins again. When he looks at you, he sees himself. He died on the cross just for you. A sinless Savior died on the cross to pay the cost for you and me.

Be encouraged. John 16:33 tells us that these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

As you develop a close and personal relationship with God, and seek him, he will come near to you. Have faith in God. He will save you. Just call on the name of Jesus.

Be Blessed.
