Recipe I

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup black olives, chopped
  • 1 long loaf Italian bread, cut lengthwise

Directions

  1. Cut the bread in half horizontally. Score the bread in serving sizes, but don't cut all the way through the bread.
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter, olives, and garlic together.
  3. Spread the olive-butter on the bread.
  4. On a baking sheet, bake the bread at 375F for 8-10 minutes, on the top rack of the oven.
  5. Broil the bread for 1-2 minutes to brown.

  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbs lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 sticks butter
  • 1 loaf long Italian bread
