Surviving Midnight

Midnight is the trouble that we face in our lives. Midnight is that dark hour of our lives. As dark as it may seem, it is possible to survive midnight.

Midnight is that time in your life that just seems to go wrong. It might be an illness, loss of someone that you are close to, or even the financial problems that some of us face. Midnight is that time that you should be getting peaceful sleep. Instead, trials and tribulations come to test you. You feel that it is impossible to get through. It is a lonely place. According to Acts 16:25-25, And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
God will answer prayer. Prayer is communication with God. Prayer changes things. Suddenly, chains were broken and the prisoners were set free. According to John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Trouble, or midnight, will come. Either you were in a storm, in a storm, or coming out of a storm. That storm is your midnight. A breakthrough will come as long as you keep the faith and don’t give up.

Blessings are in the present tense. Notice the word “suddenly. Blessings come when you least expect them. According to Psalm 119:62, at midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. Give thanks before you actually see the blessing. This is called faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Through it all, know that God is in control. He knows what you are going through. He also has a way out. Stay encouraged and know that he is God. He can and will change things so pray to him, send praises up to him, and maintain a thankful heart. Your midnight will be over suddenly.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I pray that you give your people peace and strength as they go through their midnight hour. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen
