We had a guest pastor at our church who was speaking about faith. He was talking about how we as Christians need to stand boldly in faith. His sermon was focussed from this passage in Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

The whole time that Pastor Mark was preaching I sat in awe of the awesome things that God is doing in my life! I have just been reading this incredible book by pastor Alan Wright called "God Moments". Pastor Mark was preaching on standing in faith and I was recalling the things that I had read in this book that had helped me remember some of the things that God had done in my life. Remembering those things that God has done really helped my faith and my confidence for things to come in the future. I couldn't wait to tell Pastor Mark about this awesome book!

In his book God Moments, pastor and author Alan D. Wright encourages Christians to look back through the experiences of their lives for times that he calls God moments. He says that as we remember these times and recognize God’s hand in all of our experiences, our faith grows and our confidence about the future grows.

I also realized that this wasn't just a coincidence that this pastor was preaching exactly what I needed to hear and something that was going right along with everything that I had been reading! This was another God Moment in my very own life! I want to have a strong faith that pleases God. Without that faith I will not please him. I am so thankful that this book was shared with me. Through reading this book I truly do have that strong faith that I had been longing to have. This book has inspired me to take the time to look back over my life and see God's fingerprints everywhere! Even when I didn't always realize that he was there. I continue to find His fingerprints in my life through study, prayer and journaling, and my Heavenly Father continues to bless my life with more of his truth.

Psalm 126 shows us that recalling what God has done in the past can give us a greater sense of joy and confidence as we face the future. To me this is what Faithbooking is all about!

Allan Wright breaks down God moments into five categories:

Amazing Rescue—a moment when God guarded you, healed you, rescued you, or made a way out for you.

Holy Attraction—a moment when God led you toward a healthier path, enabled you to resist a temptation, or inspired you to take the high road.

Unearned Blessing—a moment when God gave you an unexpected blessing or an underserved gift.

Revealed Truth—a moment when God spoke to you through the Bible, inner peace, wise counsel, or a God-inspired message.

Valuable Adversity—a moment in which God sustained you in a difficult time or made you stronger through the test of adversity.
