Golf Shoes are Important to your Game

When in need of new golf shoes it is best to try them on so you get a good fit. I like to exchange wearing different golf shoes when I play 3-4 times a week. I had one good pair but several old ones that needed to be retired. At our Pro Shop was displayed a neat looking golf shoe that looked like a walking shoe. This all white golf shoe was FootJoy LoPro Collection and priced at $100.00 but with my club member discount it was priced right. I tried on a size 7.5 Medium and they fit just perfect and were so comfortable.

The next day I was to leave for Fort Worth, Texas as I was invited to play in a Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Golf Tournament with my daughter-in-law. I brought along my new shoes but had second thoughts as sometimes breaking in new golf shoes this way might not be the best idea. The shoes worked and felt just great all day they cushioned my every step and anchored me with every golf swing. I canít say it was the shoes that helped us win low net in this tournament but they sure did not hurt my feet.

My FootJoy LoPro Collection shoe is listed as #97067and were all white with gold stitching with a half moon design on the outside arch areas of the shoe. They are full grain leather uppers and come with a one year waterproof warranty. The cleats are Pulsar by Softspikes and they do hold you firm during your swings. I checked with the www.footjoy.com web page and found this style golf shoe comes in white with color stitching of the half moon design in green or blue. The shoe also comes in full color bronze and black. I am satisfied with the all white golf shoe as that is what my Pro Shop had available.

Golf shoes also need care after you play golf. Clean and brush off the cleats then wipe the leather uppers with a damp cloth. Store them in a dry area on a shelf and your golf shoes will last you a good long time. I have a pair of FootJoy golf shoes that I purchased last year plus a few several years ago. The older ones will have to be discarded. The FootJoy Company is very reliable and I find their shoes are well made and reasonably priced. You can also get good bargains in many golf outlet stores when they have their golf shoes on sale.

As far as the warranties go I have never had to return any shoes that did not hold up as they advertised. These FootJoy LoPro Collection have a warranty of the first year to be waterproof. I never want to try this out, so on wet, rainy or muddy days I will wear one of my old pair of golf shoes. My new golf shoes will last much longer and stay new looking for those special golfing days or tournaments. My feet stay cool as I wear a thin soft anklet with every pair of my golf shoes. Keeping your feet happy is part of every golf game and this FootJoy LoPro Collection is made for happy feet.
