If you don't know who Kevin Bacon is, you're not allowed to watch any more movies. Veteran actor Kevin Bacon has starred in more than sixty movies, appeared in over seventy TV shows, is in a rock band with brother Travis, and of course, has worked with such a large variety of actors he inspired a game called "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon." The rules of the game are simple: just link any actor to Kevin Bacon by no more than six connections. I've always loved the challenge of this game, so I decided to try it Romance Movie style. Once a month, I'll use the film currently tops at the box office and somehow, someway, connect it to a romantic film with Kevin Bacon in it. Think you can stump me? Find out how to try at the end of this article.

Currently tops at the box office: Happy Feet
Starring the voice talents of: Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Robin Williams, and Nicole Kidman

"Happy Feet" is the story of the Emperor Penguin, who is able to find a mate and even it's own offspring by a song, unique to each penguin. Unfortunately for Mumble (Elijah Wood), he can't sing, so he must find another way to fit in with his kind. This animated film was directed by George Miller ("Babe: Pig In the City"), and made over 41 million dollars its opening weekend.

How does this film connect to Kevin Bacon?

In 1988, Kevin Bacon starred in a cute, little unknown film called "She's Having a Baby." Directed by John Hughes ("16 Candles," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"), this is the story of Kristen (Elizabeth McGovern) and Jefferson. In love and confident of their future, they marry young and are barely getting to know each other when they decide to get pregnant. Adjusting to married life and all of the responsibilities that come with it is a reality check for the young couple, who have to learn to rely on each other to make their relationship work.

The Connection
This film also starred an up and coming Alec Baldwin, who was well known for his role on the soap opera "Knots Landing" and later for his dramatic role as the evil Dr. Jed Hill in the film "Malice." Nicole Kidman also starred in "Malice" and remember, Nicole Kidman is now starring in "Happy Feet."
