Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, who have worked on the popular TV comedy series, “Arrested Development,” “You, Me, and Dupree” follows typical newlyweds Carl and Molly Peterson, who are just beginning their new lives together. They have a new home, great jobs, and the security of their new marriage, until Randy Dupree - just Dupree to his friends - needs a place to crash until he gets back on his feet.

When Carl Peterson (Matt Dillon) discovers his long-time friend Dupree (Owen Wilson) is both jobless and homeless, he offers what any good friend would: the chance to stay at his house for a couple of days. Although it takes Molly (Kate Hudson) a bit longer to get used to the idea, she also realizes that Dupree is in a desperate situation and could really use a helping hand. Dupree accepts the couple’s generous offer and moves in, immediately upsetting the perfect balance the Petersons thought they had.

Although Dupree is immature and a bit of a troublemaker, Carl loves having his old friend around. Dupree is fun and carefree, and Carl loves the distraction. Before long, Carl finds himself concentrating more and more on his job, and working harder than ever. Soon there’s no more time for Dupree’s silly antics and instead, he begins to grate on Carl’s nerves.

Molly initially hated having Dupree in the house. After they were married, she envisioned a peaceful world with just her and her new hubby, and Dupree was not part of the equation. Now that he’s had time to grow on her, Molly begins to change her mind about her husband’s friend. Dupree helps Molly, provides a listening ear, and even wins over her tough dad (Michael Douglas). Although Carl brushed Molly’s concerns aside when Dupree was an annoyance, he’s now concerned that Dupree is becoming a little too helpful to his wife and their friends.

With Carl working to get Dupree out of the house, and everyone else fighting for him to stay, pandemonium is inevitable. It must end somehow, but at who’s expense?

“You, Me, and Dupree” boasts a wide range of talented actors, including Matt Dillon, who most recently starred in "Herbie Fully Loaded" and "Crash," Michael Douglas ("The Sentinel"), Kate Hudson ("Raising Helen," "The Skeleton Key"), and Owen Wilson ("Wedding Crashers").

The film opens nationwide on July 16th.
